What we collect

• Usage data: Google Analytics records pages visited, approximate location, device and browser, and referring sites.
• Technical data: our hosting and security providers process IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the website.
• Messages: if you email us, we keep your address and what you send.

Newsletter

The newsletter is run on Substack. If you subscribe, you do so on Substack's website and its privacy policy applies.

Calculators

The portfolio hedging cost tool processes what you enter within your own browser. It is not sent to us or stored on our servers. If you copy the link the tool offers, your inputs are carried in that link, so treat it as you would any record of your holdings.

Why we use it

We rely on our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the website, on your consent where the law requires it, and on legal obligations where they apply.

Who receives it

We use service providers for hosting (DreamHost), security and delivery (Cloudflare) and analytics (Google). Some are outside the UK, and data may be transferred under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data.
